Marci Bartus, aka tRENDrakó, recently got his hands on some Secontaste Mocha granolas—and, of course, he had thoughts. 🧐
You can find his original review on tRENDrakó.com. We could help, but wanted to publish it here as well, let’s dive into the highlights!

Sometimes you want nothing for breakfast but something tasty, quick but special. I was the same way when I first tried Mocha Brewer's Granola - and well... it was love at first spoonful.
Morning routine is sacred. Some people put their running shoes on first, others press the button on the coffee machine with their eyes closed. We've got a new addition to add a little excitement to every morning - here's a must-have for coffee fans! ☕
This is not just a granola
The smell alone is enough to make you forget it's early morning. Seriously. You unwrap it and it's like biting into a freshly brewed cup of coffee - but it's got dark chocolate, coconut, toasted seeds, oatmeal, everything you'd expect to have the full granola experience. And, of course, it's got the spent coffee grounds from the Mad Dog Coffee Hangar to make it totally unique.
So this granola isn't your usual grocery store version: it's a oven-roasted, brewer's spent grain based treat.
How does it feel? It feels like your coffee is having breakfast with you.
If you love the smell of coffee in the morning, this granola will take the experience even further: the smell will enchant you from the moment you unwrap it and the taste will enchant you even more. Plus, there's no need to compromise - the Mocha Brewer's granola is vegan, made with all-natural ingredients, and just a little bit of plant-based milk is all it takes to make a complete breakfast.

How do I eat it? As I please.
Most of the time I mix it with plant-based milk or a little Greek yogurt, but I've already snacked on it just by itself as a snack (there's nothing better when you're craving something sweet in the afternoon - but don't want to eat sugary junk.)
I've also sprinkled it on top of a smoothie bowl, and next time I think I'll put it inside a baked apple. Worth a try!
By the way, you can also find a GRANOLA BUTTER recipe for it on the Secontaste website. Yes, you heard it properly. Granola butter! Crazy!
Who do I recommend it to?
For you, if:
you start your day with coffee (and you don't want to stop for coffee in the morning),
you like a special but quick breakfast,
you don't like to eat artificial stuff,
or just want to try something new to spice up your morning routine. 💫
Why did I try it?
I've been familiar with Secontaste products for a long time, although I've been mostly into the salty crackers, but a few months ago I was talking to Julcsi (the founder of the brand) and decided to try their other products. But why is the whole brand and their credo so interesting to me?
Secontaste produces upcycled food. They claim that upcycling is the big brother of recycling.
"It's a more sustainable solution, because recycling requires a lot of energy to turn waste into useful raw material. Upcycling, on the other hand, uses the discarded material itself as a raw material, which eliminates the energy needed to recycle."
This is a very exciting and important topic, and you can of course find out much more about it on the Secontaste website! But the important premise is that these foods are truly an environmentally conscious choice, so be proud of yourself if you've bought an upcycled treat instead of a regular chips from the supermarket!
Where can you buy it?
I ordered from the Secontaste webshop and I'm sure it was not the last time for me.
So the Mocha Brewer's Granola is available in Secontaste webshop, but we wouldn't be surprised if it would end up on the shelves of trendy coffee shops soon. In the meantime: order it, taste it and make your mornings more exciting!
Plus: you can now buy it with a 50% discount due to a minor mistake by the Secontaste team. What's the reason? The best-before date is wrongly indicated on the box, but this product is actually long-lasting!
